Why do I need design services if I already know what I want?
Not every renovation requires full design services. For example, if you’re updating a kitchen without changing the layout, or refreshing your main floor, we can often build directly from your direction. That said, design adds value beyond drawings, it’s also about selecting finishes, coordinating colors, and creating a seamless look across your home. For projects with new layouts, additions, structural work, or permits, design becomes essential. It ensures your renovation is buildable, code-compliant, and beautifully tied together from start to finish.
Can I cancel or reschedule my appointment myself?
Yes. Our online calendar gives you full control to reschedule or cancel your appointment at any time. You will receive an updated confirmation by email once the change is made.
What does a Magnum consultation include?
A consultation is a one-hour site meeting with one of our project managers. We walk through your project in detail, answer questions, and take photos and measurements if needed. Afterward, we prepare and send you a detailed estimate based on the scope of work.
How long after the consultation will I receive my estimate?
Most estimates are ready within one to two weeks, depending on the size and complexity of the project. Smaller projects may be turned around sooner, while larger renovations or additions that require drawings and trade quotes may take longer. We will always give you a clear timeline before we leave the consultation.
What is a design consultation, and how is it different?
A design consultation is a working session with our interior design team to plan finishes, layouts, and architectural details. It is billed at $350 per hour, but the fee is credited back to you if you move forward with Magnum for your renovation. This consultation produces mode board and selections that bring clarity to the design side of your project.
